This Apple-Pecan Baked Brie Is a Fall Recipe to Die For
Oh sweet Lady Autumn! This apple-pecan baked brie was so good, we didn't know what to do except make it again, and again, and then share our recipe with the world. The baked brie is already deliciously decadent, and the apple-pecan filling adds an irresistible sweetness and slightly crunchy texture that take this dish to another level. Honestly, it's the only appetizer you need to serve all autumn long. Whether it's book club, game night, or Thanksgiving, it will make your cozy fall gatherings even warmer, cozier, and, most of all, more delicious.
For extra autumn ambience, serve your baked brie with fall-themed cocktail napkins and small plates. Also consider sprucing up the table with a fall centerpiece or cloth, and draping the mantle, cadenza, or buffet with a strand of foliage lights.
APPLE PECAN BAKED BRIE
Ingredients:
1 apple - diced
3 tbs butter (2 tbs for filling; 1 tbs to brush on before baking)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1 sheet puff pastry dough
1 8.5oz wheel of brie
Directions:
In a pan, heat:
2 Tablespoons butter
diced apple
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Stirring constantly, sauté on medium heat until apples are softened and butter/sugar begins to bubble and thicken.
Cut Brie in half. Set one half, cheese side up, on top of puff pastry dough (line the pan with parchment paper to prevent dough from sticking when baking).
Spoon the filling on top of cheese and cover with the other half of the brie (rind side up).
Fold pastry dough up and over the brie; then flip over so folded edges are face down on the pan.
Brush the outside with melted butter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Serve hot with sliced baguette or crackers.
