Pizza Sliders
For a flavor packed twist on an all-time favorite, try our Pizza Party Sliders! With layers of succulent pepperoni, gooey mozzarella, and zesty marinara sauce sandwiched between King's Hawaiian sweet rolls, these delicious sliders pack a pizza party into every bite!
Ingredients:
2 packages King's Hawaiian sweet rolls or brioche rolls; 12 count each
1 jar pizza sauce or marinara sauce 13 ounces; OR about 1 ½ cups homemade sauce
8 ounces sliced pepperoni
2 cups ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons pizza seasoning
For the topping:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
1 clove fresh garlic finely minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper
Plus add any other of your favorite pizza toppings!
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Spray a large baking dish or a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
Do not pull the rolls apart; simply use a large serrated knife to slice the rolls in half as you would slice a bagel, separating the tops from the bottoms. Place the layer of bottoms into the prepared baking pan, cut side up.
In a bowl, mix together the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses with the pizza seasoning.
Evenly spread about half the pizza sauce on the bottom layer of the rolls and sprinkle half of the cheese mixture over the sauce. Layer the pepperoni over the cheese and top with the remaining cheese. Spread the rest of the sauce on the cut side of the roll tops and top the sliders.
Melt the butter in a small bowl and combine with garlic, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper.
Brush the tops of the sliders with the mixture.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is nice and melty and the tops are slightly browned. Optionally grate some additional parmesan cheese on top immediately after removing the sliders from the oven.
